About Me

Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Prateek Sharma and, just to say a few words about myself, I’m a first-year medical student at the University of Pennsylvania. My background is in cellular and molecular biology and applied statistics at the University of Michigan, where I also developed passions for community work, advocacy, and photography. Through medicine, I hope to improve treatment options for patients through research and discovery, as well as work to increase access to care for individuals.

An important part of this journey for me is reflecting upon my experiences and, more importantly, hearing the stories of others. Through medical journalism, I hope to convey the breathtaking life stories of everyday people around us, while broadening our perspectives of medicine in society.
